Following the janaza, Samiul was buried at his maternal grandparents’ village home in Deshkhagkata.

Samiul Karim, a student who tragically lost his life in the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) fighter jet crash at Milestone College campus premises in the capital's Uttara, has been laid to rest.

His namaz-e-janaza was held at 10:30am today (22 July) at the premises of Bir Muktijoddha Mostafa Kamal School in the Chanpur union of Mehendiganj upazila, Barishal.

Family members, including his father Rezaul Karim, and local residents attended the janaza.

Following the janaza, Samiul was buried at his maternal grandparents' village home in Deshkhagkata.

As his body arrived in the village, hundreds of locals were seen gathered at their house to pay their last respects.

"I don't want anyone else to lose the way I lost my grandson," said Abu Zaher, Samiul's grandfather.
