Today’s first trip resumed from the metro rail’s Uttara North Station for Motijheel at 7:10am

Capital's most popular public transport metro rail resumed operation today (1 April), after one-day official closure on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the biggest religious festivals of the Muslims.

"Today's first trip resumed from the metro rail's Uttara North Station for Motijheel at 7:10am . . . while the first train from Motijheel left for Uttara North Station at 7:30am," a spokesman of the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) told BSS.

Metrorail services remained closed yesterday on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr.

Earlier, the DMTCL authority announced that the metro rail services will be closed only on the Eid day.
