Pink Floyd release new Wish You Were Here video
Pink Floyd have released a new official music video for Wish You Were Here, celebrating the 50th anniversary of one of the most revered albums in rock history. The video was unveiled as part of the band's ongoing commemorations after Wish You Were Here 50 topped charts following its release last Friday, 12 December.
The anniversary edition has arrived in multiple formats, including 3LP, 2CD, Blu-ray, digital and a comprehensive Deluxe Box Set. The digital release features the original 1975 album alongside a newly created Dolby Atmos mix by long-time Pink Floyd collaborator James Guthrie, whose association with the band dates back to The Wall in 1979.
The package also includes 25 bonus tracks, comprising nine studio rarities and 16 live recordings from Pink Floyd's Los Angeles Sports Arena concert on 26 April 1975. Recorded by celebrated bootlegger Mike Millard, the live material has been officially released for the first time, restored and remastered by Steven Wilson. The Blu-ray edition further offers concert screen films from the band's 1975 tour and a short film by Storm Thorgerson.
First released in 1975, Wish You Were Here became Pink Floyd's fastest-selling album and their first to top charts in both the UK and the US. Five decades on, the album's legacy — and the fascination surrounding Pink Floyd — remains undiminished.
