Devotees came from different parts of the capital to take part in the first jamaat of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The mosque gate was opened at 6am, and hand washing and disinfection facilities have been set up in a room of the mosque.

The government issued 13 conditions for Eid-ul-Fitr prayer including the whole mosque should be cleaned with disinfectant before the prayers, people should bring janamaz, everyone should wear a mask, wash their hands with soap before entering the mosque, the janamaz and cap reserved in the mosque should not be used, physical distance should be maintained while standing in the prayer line.

To contain the spread of the virus, the government instructed not to organise Eid jamaat on the Supreme Court premises, the main Eid congregation of the country. In addition, instructions have been given not to perform prayers in open places all over the country. Thus, Eid prayers are being performed in the mosque.
