Inqilab Mancha holds protest rally in Ctg demanding justice for Hadi murder
At the rally, July Oikya organiser Abrar Hasan Riyad said Hadi is a source of inspiration in the struggle for freedom.
Inqilab Mancha organised a protest rally in Chattogram today (26 December), demanding justice for the killing of its spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.
A protest march began after Jummah prayers from the Anderkilla Mosque premises. The procession marched through major city roads and ended in front of the Chattogram Press Club in the Jamalkhan area, where a protest rally was held.
During the march, protesters chanted slogans such as "We will all become Hadi, we will keep fighting through the ages," "Break and crush the dens of the Awami League," "Why was brother Hadi killed? Interim, answer us," and "People, resist Indian aggression."
At the rally, July Oikya organiser Abrar Hasan Riyad said Hadi is a source of inspiration in the struggle for freedom. "Bangladesh will not be allowed to be turned into anyone's tributary state. Shaheed Hadi will continue to show us the path against imperialism for generations," he said.
He added that the government which has failed to arrest even the prime accused in the Hadi killing even after three weeks, has completely failed.
Inqilab Mancha's Chattogram University unit convener Rafsan Rakib said Hadi's ideals were not tied to any political party. "As Hadi's successors, we will continue this struggle against domination," he said.
Others who spoke at the rally included Toufiq Imroz, SM Shahid and Al Mamun, among others.
