Hadi murder: Inqilab Mancha says govt failed to meet demands, calls press conference tomorrow
The platform called the press conference to announce its future programmes and renewed demands, it said in a statement
Inqilab Mancha has announced a press conference tomorrow (22 December) alleging that its two-point demand, declared yesterday with a 24-hour ultimatum in the presence of protesters in Shahbagh, have not been met so far.
The platform demanded "visible progress" in the arrest of those responsible for the killing of its spokesperson, Sharif Osman Hadi. It also demanded the identification and arrest of what it described as "Awami terrorists hiding within military and civilian intelligence agencies".
In a statement tonight (21 December), it said, "Neither the home affairs adviser nor the deputy home affairs adviser offered any explanation despite being present at a recent press conference."
It added that the chief adviser has yet to establish "full authority over civil and military intelligence agencies" and that no action has been taken to arrest individuals described as "agents of Hasina" from those agencies.
Inqilab Mancha also claimed that by arranging a press briefing today through an additional inspector general of police, the authorities attempted to "downplay and trivialise" the killing of Hadi.
In this context, Inqilab Mancha has called a press conference to announce its future programmes and renewed demands.
The press conference will be held at 12pm tomorrow at Madhur Canteen, Dhaka University.
