Draft list of martyrs open from 23 Sep to 6 Oct for additions, corrections

The government has published a draft list of all those who had lost their lives during the student-led mass uprising in July-August and will leave it open for everyone from 23 September to 6 October for addition or correction.

Besides, the government requested family members, progenies and representatives of the martyrs to complete, correct and verify the list.

In a notice dated 25 September, the government notified that the list has been uploaded on the websites of the Health Services Division (www.hsd.gov.bd) of the health and family planning ministry and Directorate General of Health Services (www.dghs.gov.bd).

"If anyone has any new information to add or any comment on the list, we advise him to report to the hospital that provided services to the martyrs or the nearby government hospital," the notice said.

The notice outlined the steps for amending the list of martyrs. First, family members, progenies, and representatives of the martyrs must register using their National Identity Number and mobile number.

After registration, they need to download and print a form containing information about the martyrs. Next, they should fill in the printed form and take it to a nearby government hospital or the facility that provided services to the martyrs.

The hospital authority will then update the information online based on the completed form. Finally, individuals can verify the updated information by re-entering the designated website.

The notice also requested the family members, progenies and representatives of the martyrs to contact their respective civil surgeons, deputy commissioners, upazila nirbahi officers and upazila health and family planning officers if the name of any martyr is not found in the list.
