Restaurant worker stabbed to death in Sylhet over delay in serving tea
Shortly after a heated argument, the customer returned with several accomplices and launched an attack on the restaurant worker

A 22-year-old restaurant employee, Rumon, was stabbed to death in Sylhet's Kazir Bazar area following an argument over delayed tea service this morning (13 July).
Md Ziaul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sylhet Kotwali Model Police Station, confirmed the incident, saying, "The identity of the attacker has not yet been confirmed. However, we are conducting a drive to arrest him."
The body has been sent to the Osmani Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.
According to police, a customer entered a restaurant near the Kazir Bazar fish market around 9am and engaged in a heated conversation with Rumon because his tea was not served promptly. The argument was initially diffused by the restaurant owner and bystanders.
However, shortly after, the customer returned with several accomplices and launched an attack on Rumon. During the assault, Rumon was stabbed, and the attackers fled the scene.
Rumon was rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
