5 including 3 Covid-19 patients die in United Hospital fire
The fire originated from one of the air-conditioners used in the coronavirus camp of the hospital
Five people, including three confirmed Covid-19 patients, have died in the fire that broke out in the capital's United Hospital at 9:48pm on Wednesday, the hospital administration said.
The deceased are – Md Mahbub, 50, Md Monir Hossain, 75, Vernon Anthony Paul, 74, Khodaja Begum, 70 and Riaz Ul Alom, 45.
All of them were in life support when the coronavirus camp of the hospital caught fire.

Hospital administration said that three of the victims were confirmed Covid-19 patients while the test results of two others are yet to arrive.
Three units of fire service rushed to the spot and doused the blaze at 10:25pm, Fire Service Control Room Duty Officer Kamrum Islam told The Business Standard.
He further said that the fire originated from one of the air-conditioners used in the coronavirus camp of the hospital.
