Ex-mayor Ivy's younger brother Ripon dies
He was the eldest son of former Narayanganj municipality chairman Ali Ahmed Chunka
Ali Reza Ripon, the younger brother of former Narayanganj City Corporation mayor Selina Hayat Ivy, passed away this morning (7 April) at the age of 55.
Ripon suffered a stroke at around 7:10am at his family residence, 'Chunka Kutir', in the Deobhog area of Narayanganj. He was rushed to the hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
He was the eldest son of former Narayanganj municipality chairman Ali Ahmed Chunka. He is survived by two daughters, one son, and several relatives and well-wishers.

Ripon's younger brother, Ahmed Ali Reza Ujjal, said that Ripon had been observing the Shawwal fasts and had taken Sehri with the family at 2:30am. He suffered the stroke later this morning.
The funeral prayer will be held after Asr prayers at Baitul Noor Jame Mosque. He will be buried next to his mother's grave at Masdair City Cemetery.
