Egyptian embassy in Dhaka says it continues to process visa applications as usual
There has been no official suspension or ban on the issuance of Egyptian visas to Bangladeshi citizens, the Egyptian embassy in Dhaka said today (15 July).
"The embassy continues to process visa applications as usual, in accordance with the established guidelines," according to a Facebook post of the embassy.
The Embassy of Egypt has issued the post in reference to a report published in The Business Standard titled "From Gulf to Southeast Asia, why Bangladeshis are facing visa denials."

Bangladesh Outbound Tour Operators Forum (Botof) claimed to TBS that aspirant visitors have not been getting Egyptian visa for the last one month.
However, the embassy has categorically denied the visa suspension issue in the Facebook post.
For visa-related inquiries, the embassy advised applicants to contact its Consular Section directly.
