SSC 2026: Cumilla records 65.42% pass rate, 9,814 students secure GPA-5

The pass rate in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations under the Cumilla Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education stood at 65.42%, with 9,814 students securing GPA-5.

He said the board's performance had improved across all indicators compared to the previous year.

"The pass rate could have been higher if the results in Mathematics and English had been better," he said.
According to the results, a total of 147,225 students appeared for the SSC examinations under the Cumilla board this year, of whom 95,399 passed and 51,826 failed.
Among the successful candidates, 3,966 boys and 5,848 girls secured GPA-5.
The pass rates in Mathematics and English were 81.75% and 81.29%, respectively.
A total of 57,823 students from the Science group appeared for the examination, of whom 47,926 passed, recording a pass rate of 82.88%.
In the Humanities group, 44,910 students appeared and 22,731 passed, resulting in a pass rate of 50.61%.
In the Business Studies group, 43,102 students appeared and 24,742 passed, with a pass rate of 57.40%.
Of the total candidates, 58,825 were male and 87,010 were female.
A total of 9,158 students from the Science group, 266 from Humanities, and 390 from Business Studies secured GPA-5.
A total of 24 institutions under the Cumilla board achieved a 100% pass rate this year, while no institution recorded a zero percent pass rate.
Students from 1,823 schools across six districts appeared for the SSC examinations under the board.
