Don’t gather at colleges to collect HSC results: Govt

The government has urged all not to gather at the college premises to collect results of Higher-Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examination on Saturday.

"Gathering at educational institutions on the occasion of announcement of results is completely prohibited. This time, the results will be published online. No results will be issued to the examination centers or educational institutions. Therefore, gathering at the institutions will be allowed under no circumstance," stated an education ministry release.

The release also said those who want to receive the result via text message will have to pre-register themselves before announcement of the result.

One can complete the registration process by sending SMS: HSC <> Board name (First 3 letter) <> Roll <> 2020 and send to 16222.

As soon as the results are released, it will be sent to the mobile numbers of the pre-registered candidates.

At the same time, the results can be accessed from the websites of education boards and here.  

The results of last year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations will be published on Saturday at Segunbagicha's International Mother Language Institute in the capital.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will announce the results through videoconferencing from Ganobhaban.

Earlier, gazette of three amended bills passed in National Parliament issued to publish the results of HSC and equivalent examinations without examination.

On 24 January, the National Parliament paved the way for publishing the results of higher secondary certificate and equivalent examinations by passing the three bills.

Around 13 lakh candidates of last year's HSC and its equivalent examinations are waiting with much eagerness to get their long-awaited results.

Public and private universities also are waiting for the results to start their admission process for honour's courses under the 2020-21 academic session.
