Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has evicted more than 50 illegal installations during the course of its regular operations around Shahbagh and Sabzi Bagan areas of the capital on Saturday.

According to a press release issued by the DSCC, its Property Officer and Executive Magistrate, Mohammad Moniruzzaman conducted drives around Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Shahbagh and adjacent areas to evict these illegal temporary installations.

In addition to evicting the illegal installations, the DSCC executive magistrate filed cases against 8 individuals for illegal storage of construction materials on the main road and slapped fines of Tk 35,500.

Meanwhile, waste removal and cleaning activities of Shampur canal under DSCC jurisdiction are still underway.

DSCC's waste management department is implementing these activities in collaboration with the engineering, property and mechanical departments.
