After the procession, District and Sessions Judge Ismail Hossain said the whole country, including judges, was outraged at the demolition of Bangabandhu's sculpture.

"The judges are citizens of the country. As citizens, they also have the responsibility to join the protest."

He said the protesting judges want to let people know that judges not only judge but also know how to protest.

There is no option for judges to compromise on the question of the Father of the Nation, said Ismail.

"It is our responsibility to uphold the honour of the Father of the Nation."

Chattogram Divisional Commissioner ABM Azad, Metropolitan Sessions Judge Justice Ashfaqur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner Elias Hossain, Chattogram range Deputy Inspector General Md Anwar Hossain, Chattogram Metropolitan Police Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanveer joined the protest among others.
