One of the individuals allegedly involved in the Azimpur child kidnapping and robbery incident had rented a room in the victims' flat in the medical staff quarters of Azimpur in Dhaka a day before the incident.

Confirming the matter, Lalbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kasoinu told The Business Standard that efforts are underway to rescue the child.

According to police sources, a woman rented a room in the house of Farzana Akhtar, an employee of the Ministry of Home Affairs, as a sublet yesterday. Farzana Akhtar lives in the staff quarters with her husband and a child.
