US moves key military assets from Asia to Middle East as Iran war enters sixth month
As the US-Israel war on Iran enters its sixth month, Washington is shifting key military assets from the Asia-Pacific to the Middle East. The USS George Washington has left Japan, while THAAD elements and munitions have also been redeployed. As China increases military and coastguard activity, US allies including Taiwan and the Philippines are boosting defence spending and strengthening regional partnerships.
