Man arrested for brutality on wife in Bogura
The man committed the brutal act after her wife broke a jar of prickle
Police Friday (Nov 21) arrested a man on charge of beating his wife and shaving her head over a trifling matter at Yusufpur village in Bogura's Nandigram Upazila.
The arrestee Morshedul Islam, son of Mosharaf Hossain at Yusufpur village, committed the brutal act after her wife, Marjina Begum, broke a jar of prickle and then ran away from the home.
Shawkat Kabir, officer-in-charge of Nandigram police station told The Business Standard Marjina's father later filed a case with Nandigram Police Station accusing Morshedul and his parents under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.

Morshedul and Marjina got married eight months ago. However, the couple had no good relations since their marriage, said Shawkat
According to case statement, Marjina, on November 21, fled the house after breaking a jar of prickle fearing that her husband will not take it simply.
Later, Mosharaf Hossain, father-in-law of Marjina, brought her back to the house. Morshedul then shaved off the hair of his wife after beating her.
Police could not arrest two other accused as they ran away said the OC.
