DU student dies after falling from Jagannath Hall rooftop
"I apologise to everyone, if anyone suffered any harm because of me, that responsibility is solely mine, I apologise," Sanju wrote on his Facebook last night

A student of Dhaka University died early this morning (14 July) after falling from the roof of Jagannath Hall's Rabindra Bhaban, a 10-storey building.
The deceased, Sanju Baraik, was a third-year student of the Anthropology department under the 2020–21 academic session.
He was a residential student of Jagannath Hall and originally from Chunarughat upazila in Habiganj.
Md Masud, assistant in-charge of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp, confirmed the death.
According to CCTV footage of the hall, Sanju went to the rooftop in the early hours of the morning and remained there for over an hour.
At 5:36am, he fell from the building.
Jagannath Hall Provost Professor Debashish Pal said, "Our cleaning staff came to work in the morning. While working, a cleaner heard a loud noise, went forward, and saw a student lying there. He was then immediately taken to DMCH. Doctors there declared him dead."
Earlier, around 12:08am, Sanju posted a Facebook status apologising.
In the post, he wrote, "I have realised my mistake, I have been disturbing someone day after day. It was absolutely wrong of me to blame others; I apologise to everyone. I have done wrong day after day, it was not right for me to hide my own fault and blame others. I apologise to everyone, if anyone suffered any harm because of me, that responsibility is solely mine, I apologise."
