Police recovered the bodies of a Comilla University student and her mother from a house in Cumilla. The bodies were found early today (8 September) on the second floor of a building near the Kaliarjuri playground.

The deceased were identified as Tahmina Akter Fatema, 52, and her daughter Sumaiya Akter Rinti, 23, a third-year Public Administration student at Comilla University.
House owner Anisul Islam Rana said, four years ago court official Nurul Islam rented the flat. After his death last year, his wife Tahmina and her family continued living there, adding that CCTV footage showed a man visiting the flat several times yesterday. Police have been informed.
According to Tajul, the victim's elder son, miscreants killed his mother and sister, and took their mobile phones, laptop, and earrings.
Tajul said, they were two brothers and one sister. His younger brother works in Cumilla EPZ, and he practises law in Dhaka. After returning home from Dhaka, his mother did not respond after calling her multiple times. He found his mother's body when he went to her room to inspect. He later found his sister's body in her room and informed police, who recovered the bodies.
