Colombia earthquake kills 132 and injures hundreds as rescue efforts continue
A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake has struck western Colombia, killing at least 132 people and injuring more than 480. Pereira and Cali suffered major structural damage, while more than 1,500 homes were affected. President Abelardo de la Espriella has declared a national disaster and state of emergency as rescue teams search for survivors. International support is also being mobilised, with assistance offered by the US, European Union and El Salvador.
