Hadi murder: Aminul placed on 5-day remand for assisting Faisal's escape
Police arrested Aminul from the capital's Mirpur section-11 area in the early hours today.
A Dhaka court has granted a five-day remand for Md Aminul Islam alias Raju, who reportedly helped the prime accused in the Sharif Osman Hadi murder case, Faisal Karim Masud, in going into hiding in a border area.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Mohammad Junaid passed the order after a hearing today (24 December), according to court sources.
Earlier, police arrested Aminul from the capital's Mirpur section-11 area in the early hours today.
Sharif Osman Hadi, an aspiring independent candidate in the upcoming national election from Dhaka-8 constituency and spokesperson of the Inqilab Mancha, was shot in the capital's Paltan area on 12 December. He succumbed to his injuries at a health facility in Singapore on 18 December.
In connection with the incident, Inqilab Mancha Member Secretary Abdullah Al Jaber filed a case at Paltan Police Station on 14 December.
