8 BNP leaders granted bail
The petition mentioned that the police filed the case on false and fabricated information.

A Dhaka court today granted bail to eight BNP leaders, including the Secretary-General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, in a case of preventing police from discharging their duties and provoking subversive activities.
Following a bail petition Metropolitan Magistrate Sorafuzzaman Ansari granted the bail against a bond of Tk5000 each.
The petition mentioned that the police filed the case on false and fabricated information.
The bailed leaders are Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Barrister Moudud, Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, Ruhul Kuddus Talukder Dulu, Abdul Moyeen Khan and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury.
Earlier, the BNP leaders surrendered before the court except Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, who is currently in abroad.
The case was filed with Hatirjheel Police Station on October 1, 2018.
