Coast Guard conducts public awareness programme in Dhaka
The Bangladesh Coast Guard has organised a discussion and awareness event on primary medical care as part of "Youth Festival 2025" in Agargaon, Dhaka.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq shared the information on Monday, 27 October 2025, at noon.
He said that since its establishment, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has been engaged in various humanitarian activities, including disaster response, relief distribution, emergency medical services and rehabilitation in coastal and riverine areas. The force has also been conducting awareness programmes as part of its public service initiatives.
In continuation of these efforts, the Coast Guard Dhaka Zone organised a discussion and public awareness session on primary medical care under the Youth Festival 2025 at Darul Ihda Model Madrasa in the Shyamoli area under Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station on Monday morning. Teachers and students of the madrasa participated in the event.
Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq said the Coast Guard is committed to continuing such public service and awareness activities in the future to promote health, safety and social responsibility among young people.
