Chhatra Dal forms committees for 17 halls at JU

The Jahangirnagar University unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal has formed new committees for 17 halls of the university, as well as a separate committee for the Faculty of Business Studies, yesterday (8 August).
In a press release signed by Chhatra Dal JU unit Convener Zahir Uddin Babor and Member Secretary Wasim Ahmed Anik, the student wing of BNP approved the hall and faculty committees, including 11 male halls and six female halls.
Meanwhile, the JU unit of Bangladesh Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangsad held a press conference condemning the formation of Chhatra Dal's hall committees and warned that the move may lead to the return of "gonorooms", "guest rooms", and ragging culture.
