Change in govt may impact relations: Indian Army chief on Bangladesh ties
Regarding Bangladesh, the Army Chief stated that it was “too early” to assess any shift in its role but acknowledged that a change in government could impact its relationship with India

A change in government may bring about a shift in Bangladesh-India relations, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has said, reports NDTV.
Speaking at the India Today Conclave in New Delhi yesterday (8 March), Gen Dwivedi addressed a range of topics, including the situation in Bangladesh, as well as developments along the Line of Actual Control and the Line of Control.
In an indirect reference to China and Pakistan, he noted their high level of communication, stating, "This means that the threat from two fronts is now a reality."
When asked about reports suggesting growing ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh, he said, "As far as I am concerned, since I have said that the epicentre of terrorism is in a particular country, they have a relationship with any of my neighbouring countries, I should be looking worried, because as far as I am concerned, the terrorism route can be used from that country also, which is my major concern as of today."
Regarding Bangladesh, he stated that it was "too early" to assess any shift in its role but acknowledged that a change in government could impact its relationship with India.
He added, "The present military-to-military relationship is very strong. And, we [are] exchanging notes on a regular basis to avoid any kind of misgiving."
