CA orders list of victims killed during Awami League era
"A list will be prepared of those killed in attacks by Awami League and its affiliated organisations prior to the July Uprising," he says

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has instructed concerned authorities to compile a comprehensive list of individuals killed allegedly by Awami League and its affiliated organisations' violence, as well as state force-led operations, in the last 15 years.
"A list will be prepared of those killed in attacks by Awami League and its affiliated organisations prior to the July Uprising, and each incident will be investigated," Yunus said during a meeting with Abrar Fahad's family this afternoon (24 July).
Mohammad Barkat Ullah, the father of BUET student Abrar Fahad, who was beaten to death by Chhatra League activists, along with Abrar's younger brother Abrar Fayaz, and uncle Mohammad Mofazzal Hossain, met with the chief adviser at the state guest house, Jamuna.
The chief adviser added, "Investigations are ongoing into the killings carried out by state forces under directives from the then-government. The government has already taken steps in this regard."
The family called for investigations into each killing carried out under political or state-backed violence during the Al era prior to the July Uprising.
During the meeting, Barkat Ullah urged the government to expedite the trial process in Abrar Fahad's murder case. "My son was brutally beaten to death for speaking up for the country," he said.
Abrar's younger brother, BUET third-year student Abrar Fayaz, appealed for stronger government action to eliminate ragging from all educational institutions.
In response, the chief adviser assured that justice would be served. "The brutal killing of Abrar Fahad shocked the entire nation," he said.
