BFIU seeks model Meghna’ bank account details
Meghna, who was crowned Miss Earth Bangladesh in 2020, was detained from her Basundhara Residential Area flat on 9 April

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has asked the banks concerned to provide all types of bank account information of former Miss Earth Bangladesh and model Meghna Alam.
BFIU today (21 April) sent letters to all banks in this regard.
In the letter, it was stated that Meghna's personal documents, such as account opening forms, KYC (know your customer) details, and transaction statements, must be submitted within seven working days.
Meghna and Md Dewan Samir, owner of Sanjana Manpower, are among the accused in a case filed on 15 April by Dhanmondi model police station's Inspector (Investigation) Mohammad Abdul Alim over their alleged involvement in luring foreign diplomats into romantic traps.
Meghna was detained from her Bashundhara Residential Area flat on 9 April and shown arrested in the case on 17 April.
"The accused devised a sophisticated strategy to trap diplomats and embassy officials, most recently targeting the Saudi ambassador and allegedly demanding $5 million from him," the public prosecutor told the court.
Samir, who is currently on a five-day remand, has denied all allegations and any association with Meghna.
