Bangladesh Coast Guard holds free medical camp

On the afternoon of Wednesday, 30th April 2025, Lieutenant Commander H M M Harun-ur-Rashid, the Bangladesh Coast Guard's media officer, provided key updates regarding a charitable initiative conducted by the force.
Since its inception, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has continuously supported the underserved populations along the coastal and riverine regions, addressing their various needs. In line with its ongoing commitment to public welfare, the Coast Guard has provided free medical services through regular medical campaigns for underprivileged and low-income communities.
Continuing this tradition, on Wednesday, 30th April 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the Coast Guard's Support Unit conducted a medical camp in North Algiir Lamchhari under the Haimchar Thana of Chandpur District. Over 500 individuals, including the poor, vulnerable, and children, received free healthcare services and essential medicines.
Senior Medical Officer Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Tasleema Hossain, AMC, and Medical Officer Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Ahmed Rifaat Tahmid, AMC led the medical campaign.
Lieutenant Commander Harun-ur-Rashid further emphasized that the Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue to carry out such public service initiatives in the future, reaffirming their dedication to the well-being of the nation's citizens.
