Awami League reorganising by capitalising on Milestone tragedy: Hasnat
He called on all political parties to set aside their differences and unite under an anti-fascist banner for the greater interest of the country.

National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organiser (southern region) Hasnat Abdullah today (24 July) warned that the Awami League is reorganising by capitalising on the Milestone school tragedy.
"We had thought fascism had ended, but we now see the Awami League reorganising itself using the Milestone tragedy as political capital," he stated while addressing a rally in Brahmanbaria.
Hasnat called on all political parties to set aside their differences and unite under an anti-fascist banner for the greater interest of the country, saying, "I will call on all political parties to unite and confront the Awami League in the interest of Bangladesh."
He criticised the country's fragile healthcare system, saying that past rulers left us with a broken health sector.
"You might be crushed by a bus, die in a hospital for lack of treatment or die in a plane or ferry accident," he noted.
This state has failed to ensure the basic right to a natural death, this NCP leader said, adding, "We demand natural death from the state, from the interim government."
He mentioned that they wanted a restructured system of governance. "But it is unfortunate that our former health minister held an Honours degree in English, and the current one in Bangla."
The government should have appointed skilled, qualified individuals to demonstrate what a proper healthcare system should look like, he remarked.
"We see an unqualified health adviser overseeing a collapsing system. Were there truly no doctors in Bangladesh?"
NCP leaders Nahid Islam, Akhtar Hossain and Tasnim Zara also addressed the rally.
Earlier this noon, the NCP leaders started their July march from the railgate area of the town.
