The Bangladesh Army has provided family members of those martyred and injured during the July 2024 mass uprising.

During a reception ceremony today (25 March) at the 'Army Multipurpose Complex' in Dhaka Cantonment to honour the families of the injured and martyrs of the July mass uprising, a total of 72 people, including the injured and family members of martyrs, along with senior officials, were present.

During the ceremony, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman referred to the July uprising as a historic turning point in Bangladesh's history, calling the participating fighters the nation's pride.

He stated that, in this movement, the youth not only participated but also inspired others on how to achieve rightful demands through truth and justice.

He further mentioned that the Bangladesh Army has always been supportive of the dreams of the July uprising fighters.

He pledged, stating, "In war, we stand together; in peace, we stand together; everywhere, we stand for the country," and reaffirmed that, as in the past, the Bangladesh Army would always be there for the welfare of the motherland.

The army chief expressed optimism that if everyone works in unison, combining patriotism, nationalism, honesty, humanitarian values, and discipline, the country will rise to the pinnacle of prosperity and emerge as a happy and prosperous nation.

He urged all to work together to fulfill that dream.
