Amir Khasru’s assets reach Tk22cr, income up 12-fold
The affidavits, published on the Elections Commission’s website, also reveal that Khasru is now completely debt-free and has been acquitted in 34 cases over the last two years.
Former minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has reported a significant rise in both income and assets over the past 17 years, according to his affidavits.
His total movable and immovable assets now stand at nearly Tk22 crore, while his annual income has increased almost twelvefold compared to 2008, according to the affidavits submitted for the 9th national parliamentary election in 2008 and the 13th national parliamentary election scheduled for February 2026.

According to the latest affidavit, Khasru declared an annual income of Tk1.59 crore in 2025. I
n 2008, he reported an annual income of Tk13.3 lakh, mainly from house rent and professional consultancy fees. At that time, his income from house rent was Tk1,30,000. In 2025, income from house rent rose to Tk6,04,600.
Additionally, a new income source was added this year in the form of Tk80 lakh received as signing money from Concord.
