3 killed as bus rams into autorickshaw in Gazipur
A passenger bus of Taqwa Paribahan ran over a battery-powered auto-rickshaw in the Konabari area of Gazipur metropolis around 7:30am today (30 March) killing three people on the spot.
Two others sustained serious injuries. However, the identities of the deceased and injured could not be confirmed immediately.
Confirming the incident, SM Ashraful Islam, deputy police Commissioner (Traffic) of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, said the high-speed Taqwa Paribahan bus crushed the auto-rickshaw, leaving it completely wrecked. Three passengers died instantly, while two others were critically injured. Upon receiving the news, police and locals rushed to the scene, rescued the injured, and sent them to the hospital. The police have also recovered the bodies.

He further stated that the police are investigating the incident and trying to identify the victims. Necessary legal actions will be taken accordingly.
