The accident took place on Wednesday around 7am in the Jangalia area of Lohagara, when a bus rammed into a microbus, killing 10 people on the spot.

The victims included two couples and their children. Among them were Rafiqul Islam Shamim and Lutfun Nahar Sumi from Mirpur, Dhaka, along with their daughters Anisa Akter (14) and Liana (8), as well as Shamim's niece, Tanifa Yasmin.

Tasnia, the eldest daughter of Shamim and Sumi, sustained critical injuries.

Among the injured, six-year-old Aradhya Bishwas and his 18-year-old cousin Durjoy Kumar Bishwas are still undergoing treatment at CMCH. Aradhya's parents, Dilip Bishwas and Sadhana Rani, were also killed in the crash.
