1yr old dies from hot water burns in Gazipur
The incident occurred at a baby care run by a garment factory in Gazipur

A one-year-old girl died after suffering burn injuries from boiling hot water at a baby care run by a garment factory in Gazipur, her relatives have claimed.
The baby Ayesha Siddika's family members and neighbours told The Business Standard that the toddler's mother Ria Moni works as an operator for a garment factory owned by Mitali Group, while her father Mujibur works at another garment factory in the same area.
After Ayesha received burn injuries at a baby care run by the factory on Tuesday, she was taken to a nearby hospital, said her relatives, adding that the baby was later transferred to Enam Medical Hospital in Savar.
She succumbed to her injuries at the hospital on Wednesday morning. Ayesha's parents claimed that the baby care's staff had poured hot water on her head due to an argument between them a few days ago, which led to the toddler's death.
The baby's relatives have demanded that perpetrators involved with the incident be brought to book as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the factory authority has declined to comment on the matter.
Responding to a query, Deputy Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police Jakir Hossain said, "An autopsy will be performed on the baby's body, and legal action will be taken accordingly. We will launch a thorough investigation after a complaint is filed over the matter."
Local police officials have visited the scene of the incident, and additional police personnel have been deployed in the area to avert any untoward incident.
