12 Injured in boiler explosion at starship factory in Ctg
Officials from the Chattogram Fire Control Room said three fire service units were deployed to control the blaze.
At least 12 people were injured in a boiler explosion at Starship factory in Chattogram's Oxygen area this morning (10 February) around 11am, the Fire Service said.
Officials from the Chattogram Fire Control Room said three fire service units were deployed to control the blaze. They successfully brought the fire under control by 11:30am.
The explosion is believed to have originated from old machinery, which quickly spread the fire, officials said.
Firefighter Mohammad Soher of the Bayezid Bostami Fire Station said, "The explosion occurred at around 11am. Our units reached the scene quickly, but the factory authorities had already rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital."
The condition of the injured has not been fully disclosed yet.
