Four killed in covered van-microbus collision in Chattogram
One of the deceased was identified as Md Hasan, 38, son of Mostaque Ahmed of Cox’s Bazar Sadar upazila.
Four people, including a woman, were killed and six others injured in a collision between a covered van and a microbus in the College Bazar area of Karnaphuli upazila early today (13 September).

According to witnesses, the covered van, coming from the Shah Amanat Bridge, was making a U-turn at high speed in the College Bazar area on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway when it collided with the microbus travelling from Ukhiya towards Chattogram around 1:20am.
The accident left two people dead on the spot and eight others injured, police said.
On information, police and a Fire Service team rushed to the scene, rescued the injured and took them to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where two of them, including the microbus driver, succumbed to their injuries.
Officer-in-Charge of Karnaphuli Police Station Nur Ahmed said the accident disrupted vehicular movement on the highway for some time.
