Bogura-6: Tarique wins by margin of 118,658 votes
Tarique secured 216,284 votes while his nearest rival, Jamaat's Abidur Rahman Shohel, received 97,626 votes
BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has secured victory from the Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency, winning by a margin of 118,658 votes, according to results from 150 polling centres.
The information was confirmed by the District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Md Toufikur Rahman.
Contesting with the party's electoral symbol, Sheaf of Paddy, Tarique secured 216,284 votes. His nearest rival, Abidur Rahman Shohel of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, who contested with the Scales symbol, received 97,626 votes.
The Bogura-6 constituency has a total of 454,043 registered voters, including 222,796 male voters, 231,237 female voters, and 10 hijra voters.
A total of five candidates contested in the constituency.
