Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "India and China have their own strategic policies. The relations between these two neighboring countries should not be viewed through the eyes of a third country. India is committed to taking relations with China forward based on mutual respect, trust and respect for sensitive issues." Modi said these words during a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on August 31.
