Hitting the Bull’s eye, one burger at a time
Bull’s, Dhaka’s newest burger joint, brings bold flavours and playful twists to the table. Tucked away in Lalmatia, Block D, just behind Meena Bazar at Dhanmondi-27, it promises burgers that hit the spot every time

Stepping into the modestly sized Bull's, the one thought that kept circling in my head was why on earth does Dhaka need another burger joint? Especially in Lalmatia, where within a single kilometre you can practically trip over a dozen burger spots.
"Well, for starters, we don't drown our burgers in sauces," joked Khalid Rahman, the owner of Bull's. Now, in a city where most restaurants seem to treat burgers like sacrificial offerings to the Niagara Falls Sauce Factory, that small promise already felt like a reason not to give up hope. With that, I decided to see if Bull's could actually stand out on the crowded burger battlefield.
Long story short—yes, Bull's can stand out, and it does so by doing the one thing most places forget— not overdoing it. The menu is refreshingly straightforward, just a small lineup of burgers. The menu doesn't read like a never-ending novel of burger options; instead, it offers a neat handful of choices.
And the fun of it is that each burger isn't just different for the sake of being different—each one has its own personality, its own little quirk in the recipe, something that makes it stand out without shouting for attention.
At Bull's, you get to choose your style—smashed or smokey grilled—and the price stays the same for either type and you also have the option to go double-patty if you're feeling like it.
They've also got a few chicken burger options on the menu, but I'll be honest, we didn't bother. Call me stubborn, call me a purist, but to me, burgers are meant to be beef. Go ahead, sue me—I'll take my chances in burger court.
Bull's Original

It's the quintessential burger, the flagship burger of any joint—the classic cheeseburger, if you will. Think of it as the litmus test— if they nail this, you can safely bet the rest of the lineup holds its ground. It's a straightforward affair—a single patty with cheese, pickles, and lettuce tucked into a brioche bun. No theatrics, no sauce waterfall, just pure simplicity doing its job. And trust me, you won't walk away thinking your time or money was wasted on this one.

Prime Bull

This is where the menu starts getting playful. The burger still has the usual suspects—patty, lettuce, pickles, cheese, but the twist comes with a surprise cream cheese filling, made fresh in-house. Instead of the standard Big Bull sauce, you get caramelised onions and a swipe of garlic mayo, layered alongside that cream cheese centre.
This is a burger that walks a fine line. Some might find it unusual, maybe even a little underwhelming if they're expecting the usual sauce-heavy punch. But give it a chance—the taste holds its ground, offering something different without straying too far from what makes a burger a burger.

The Melting Bull

The name gives it away, but yes, this burger comes with a cheese-stuffed patty, and the moment you sink your teeth in, molten cheese oozes out like it's auditioning for an Instagram reel. Because it's stuffed, the patty's a little bulkier, which means you'll need a bigger bite, but that also lets you catch more of the patty's flavour in one go.
Thanks to the charcoal and smoke, it carries a kebab-like edge that really elevates the experience. The texture leans a bit chewier than the others, but that's just the natural result of how it's built.

Crazy Bull

This one's a showstopper—quite literally a heartstopper too. It arrives perched on a cut-out wood log (the others did too), towering high like it knows it's the star of the table. Unlike the other burgers, the patty isn't the main event here.
Front and centre is a deep-fried mozzarella cheese bar—yes, an entire bar, and you'll want to dive in quickly before it loses its glorious stretch. The cheese pull is the kind that demands a slow-motion video, and just when you think that's enough, the burger throws in beef bacon strips, garlic mayo, and the signature Big Bull sauce.
Stack it all together, and one bite hits you with a full-on explosion of flavours; messy, over-the-top, but undeniably fun.

Fishy Fish

I hate fish. Always have. Thankfully, my buddy doesn't share the same grudge and was more than happy to play guinea pig for something different. He went for the fish tempura, which came with Bull's house-special tartar sauce drizzled over the top. According to my friend, it had a tangy, fresh kick that worked surprisingly well. It's more of a small bite than a full-on meal, but it does offer a refreshing detour from the beef-heavy options on the menu.
