Can yoga rejuvenate our brain?
Yoga is not just a physical exercise. It connects the body, breath, and mind. Regular yoga practice makes the body stronger and more flexible, improves breathing control, and reduces stress. Research shows that yoga can positively affect key parts of the brain, helping with memory and emotion regulation, and reducing anxiety. In some cases, it can even help reduce trauma, such as PTSD. Although the entire process is not fully understood, scientists agree that yoga works with all three—the body, mind, and brain—together.
