21,238 girls get ICT training from ICT division and Huawei training buses
The girls were trained in total 1,226 sessions through six digital mobile training buses

Bangladesh government's ICT division and Huawei jointly have provided free ICT training to 21,238 female students in remote rural areas of Bangladesh in last 3 years.
The girls were trained in total 1,226 sessions through six digital mobile training buses including two 'PADMA' & 'RUPSA' dedicatedly operated by the Huawei. The buses were fully equipped with modern ICT training facilities.
In 2015, ICT Division under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology signed an agreement with world's leading ICT provider, Huawei and telecom operator Robi Axiata for three-year long ICT training project.
The main purpose of the project is to disseminate information technology knowledge among the rural female students to help them to be self-dependent in the future.
Last week, the three-year long successful project expired. Recently Huawei has handed over those two digital mobile training buses to the ICT division as project expired.
For this reason, a program was arranged at the ICT Division office at Agargaon in the capital city on January 01 (Wednesday), 2020.
In this program, Zhang Qidi, director of the Public Affairs and Communications Department of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited, handed over the buses to Akhtar Mamun, the project director of 'Learning and Earning project' under ICT Division. Some other high officials of the project were present there.
