Virat Kohli breaks Tendulkar’s record as fastest to 14,000 ODI runs
He is now only the third batter to cross the 14,000-run mark in ODIs, joining Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara.

Virat Kohli has etched his name deeper into cricketing history, becoming the fastest batter to surpass 14,000 runs in one-day internationals.
The milestone came during India's ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Group A match against Pakistan on 23 February.
Kohli reached the landmark in his 287th innings, breaking the previous record held by Sachin Tendulkar.
He is now only the third batter to cross the 14,000-run mark in ODIs, joining Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara. The 36-year-old achieved the feat in his 298th ODI, with 50 centuries and 73 half-centuries to his name.
Kohli's appetite for records is nothing new. During the 2023 Men's Cricket World Cup, he set the all-time record for most runs in a single edition of the tournament. India's dominant campaign saw Kohli amass 765 runs in 11 matches, including three centuries and six fifties.
