Sheffield undone by late goals as Hamza makes cameo in defeat
With only four matches remaining, the Blades face a tough challenge to finish in the top two and secure automatic promotion.

Hamza Choudhury's late introduction in the 80th minute wasn't enough to prevent Sheffield United from suffering a damaging 2-1 loss at Plymouth Argyle. The defeat at Home Park significantly hampers their hopes of securing automatic promotion to the Premier League.
The match, which pitted two sides with very different ambitions, saw Sheffield, aiming for a return to the Premier League, take the lead in the first half. The Blades went ahead thanks to a 42nd-minute goal from right-winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. However, despite dominating large parts of the second half, Sheffield were undone by two late goals from Plymouth, who are fighting relegation in the Championship.
In response to back-to-back defeats, Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder made five changes to his starting line-up, with Choudhury, who has been a regular starter in recent weeks, named on the bench. The 26-year-old, who recently made his international debut for Bangladesh during the AFC Cup qualifiers against India, was brought on with ten minutes remaining.
Plymouth responded quickly after Choudhury's arrival, equalising in the 81st minute through midfielder Ryan Wardie, just a minute after the Bangladeshi midfielder's introduction. The comeback was completed in the 88th minute when striker Muhamed Tijani netted to give Plymouth a dramatic win.
The loss leaves Sheffield with 76 points from 42 matches, now five points behind joint-leaders Leeds United and Burnley. With only four matches remaining, the Blades face a tough challenge to finish in the top two and secure automatic promotion.
