Hamza’s bicycle and Panenka not enough as Bangladesh slip late
In Thursday’s friendly at the National Stadium, Javier Cabrera’s side lost their way late on and had to settle for a 2–2 draw.
Two contrasting halves from Bangladesh. Colourless in the first, composed and desperate for victory in the second. Falling behind early, Bangladesh struck twice within the first five minutes of the second half through Hamza Choudhury.
His first came from a stunning bicycle kick, and the second from a Panenka-style penalty. With the English-born star shining bright, Bangladesh seemed set to beat Nepal. But fate had other plans — an added-time goal spoiled the hosts' celebration.

After Rohit Chand put Nepal ahead, Hamza equalised for Bangladesh in the 46th minute and gave them the lead four minutes later. But Ananta Tamang restored parity in stoppage time.
