Rishad Hossain is finally set to make his debut in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after missing opportunities in leagues such as the Global Super League in Canada and the Big Bash.

The Bangladeshi leg-spinner has received clearance from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to join the PSL, where he will play for Lahore Qalandars.

In the most recent edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Rishad played for Fortune Barishal under Tamim Iqbal's captaincy, and the team claimed the title.

Now, Rishad hopes to replicate that success in Pakistan. Speaking to the media in Mirpur, he expressed his excitement, saying, "I'm happy to have received the clearance from BCB. I'll try my best to perform well, and my goal is to win the tournament."

Alongside Rishad, Litton Das and Nahid Rana also received clearance to play in the PSL. Litton will represent Karachi Kings, while Nahid will play for Peshawar Zalmi. Rishad is eager to make the most of this opportunity, saying, "This is a great opportunity for me. It's good for my future and for Bangladesh cricket. I will try to take as much as I can from this experience."

Rishad has already gained valuable experience playing in Pakistan, having been part of the Champions Trophy and BPL matches alongside Pakistani cricketers. He intends to apply his knowledge of Pakistan's conditions in the PSL, adding, "I've played against Pakistani batsmen and observed their approach. I'm using these insights to improve my game."

Lahore Qalandars will begin their PSL campaign on 11 April against Islamabad United, while Litton's Karachi Kings and Nahid's Peshawar Zalmi will also take to the field on the same day.
