The problems I assumed, matched 90% with the senior players: BCB President

Bangladesh had a nightmare of a Test series against Windies. They lost both the matches in a very terrible fashion and that has maddened the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon.
Papon has been talking about sitting with the cricketers and team management for such a woeful performance since the defeat. He called for a lengthy meeting at his residence on Wednesday with selectors, board directors, and senior cricketers.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh cricket team members and coaching staff on Thursday received the Covid-19 vaccine in the capital's Kurmitola General Hospital where Papon was also present and he spoke about last night's meeting to the media. He said that whatever the problems he assumed matched almost 90 percent with the senior cricketers and BCB is trying to go through a process to solve these problems.

They will fly to New Zealand later this month and will face Sri Lanka soon after arriving. Australia, Zimbabwe, New Zealand are all scheduled to visit Bangladesh this year as well.
"It's not like that we don't know where the problems lie. We are trying to go through a process. I guess this is the best way to go now. I used to be straightforward while making any decisions before, but I don't do that anymore," said Papon.
"I'm happy that the problems I assumed matched 90 percent with the senior cricketers. I have a meeting with the coaching staff today, I will ask them too. Then we will decide what to do next."
Papon believes there has been a communication gap in decision making, he wants to know the reason behind this. Earlier when Khaled Mahmud Sujon was the team manager, Papon used to get all the updates from him beforehand but now the scenario is different. Papon badly wants to minimize this communication gap as soon as possible.
"There is clearly a communication gap. But the reason has been unknown. Whenever I asked them this question, they couldn't answer. We have to find a solution for this," Papon added.
"I'm not here to accuse anyone. I just want to solve the problems."
