Litton Das hails T20I series win over Sri Lanka as "a big achievement" for Bangladesh cricket
“I’m very pleased with the way our team played. The boys showed real character, especially after our poor performance in the first T20I,” said Litton during the post-match presentation, after Bangladesh sealed the series 2-1.

Bangladesh captain Litton Das has described the T20I series victory against Sri Lanka as "a big achievement" for Bangladesh cricket, praising his side for showing "character" in their eight-wicket triumph in the third and final T20I in Colombo on Wednesday.
"I'm very pleased with the way our team played. The boys showed real character, especially after our poor performance in the first T20I," said Litton during the post-match presentation, after Bangladesh sealed the series 2-1.
"I believe this is a significant milestone for Bangladesh. This win will give a real boost to our cricket and inspire the next generation. We have big dreams, and this result will support us in pursuing them," he added.
Mahedi Hasan, one of two changes for the final match, proved to be a crucial inclusion. He delivered a career-best performance of 4 for 11, helping the visitors restrict Sri Lanka to 132 for 7.
Mahedi replaced Mehidy Hasan Miraz, the current ODI captain. Litton explained that the change was based on pitch conditions, which they felt would favour Mahedi more.
"I believed this pitch would suit Mahedi better, which is why he played. It's not that Mehidy Miraz is not a good player—it was purely a tactical decision based on the surface," he clarified.
The Tigers made light work of the 133-run target, chasing it down in just 16.3 overs. Tanzid Hasan Tamim starred with a superb 73 not out off 47 deliveries. Litton himself contributed 32 from 26 balls and shared a crucial 74-run stand for the second wicket with Tanzid.
The win allowed Bangladesh to end their Sri Lanka tour on a high note, following earlier defeats in both the Test and ODI series.
