Felicity IDC, DHL partner on data centre migration
Felicity IDC Limited has appointed DHL Global Forwarding Bangladesh Limited as its migration and warehousing partner to support the movement of data centre equipment and related infrastructure.
The memorandum of understanding was signed at a ceremony attended by Felicity IDC Chief Executive Officer Sharful Alam and DHL Global Forwarding Bangladesh Country Manager Morshed Amin, according to a press release.
Senior representatives and teams from both organisations also attended the ceremony.
Under the partnership, DHL will support Felicity with the warehousing, handling, transportation and coordinated migration of data centre equipment.
The services are intended to help customers transfer critical IT assets to Felicity's data centre facilities in a structured, secure and efficient manner.
"Data centre migration is not only a technology exercise; it also requires precise planning, secure handling and reliable movement of critical infrastructure," Sharful said.
"Our partnership with DHL strengthens this important aspect of our customer services," he added.
Morshed said DHL would support the growing logistics needs of Bangladesh's digital infrastructure sector.
"Data centre equipment requires specialised handling, coordination and logistics planning, and we are well positioned to support these requirements," he said.
