BD vs NZ: Bangladesh lose by 65 runs

Bangladesh lost the third T20I by 65 runs. They were bundled out for 76 runs chasing 142 set by the hosts. 

There were only three 10+ scores in Bangladesh's batting sheet. 

Spinner Todd Astle picked up 4 wickets for only 13 runs from his 2 overs.

Bangladesh remain winless in 32 consecutive matches in New Zealand.

New Zealand batsmen ran riot over Bangladeshi bowlers and posted a mammoth total of 141 for 4 in the third T20I.

Finn Allen bagged his maiden T20I fifty, the second quickest for New Zealand in T20Is. The opening partnership between Martin Guptill and Allen saw 85 runs off just 5.4 overs.

Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed and Mahedi Hasan picked up a wicket each. Shoriful and Taskin did well but others were way too expensive. 

 Bangladesh have been poor on the field. They dropped quite a few chances to let the hosts settle in.

The third T20I has been reduced to 10-over per team and Bangladesh elected to bowl first after winning the toss. 

"We'll bowl first. It's because of the conditions, which look similar to the last game. Curtailed matches are very difficult to play. We definitely are hungry to win, looking forward," Liton Das told during the toss. 

Both teams made a couple of changes to their playing eleven. Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mosaddek Hossain, Rubel Hossain come into the playing eleven. For New Zealand, Todd Astle and Lockie Ferguson come in for Hamish Bennett and Ishan Sodhi.

 Drizzle returned after inspection and one cover is still out there in the middle. 

The wait continues.

The start of the third T20I between Bangladesh and New Zealand in Auckland has been delayed due to rain. 

According to ESPNcricinfo, it has stopped raining, the groundsmen are on the field and the covers are now being taken off. A few players from both teams are on the ground, so there could be some action if the rain stays away.

For now, we still don't have any confirmation for toss time.

T20I skipper Mahmudullah Riyad will miss the match and Liton Kumar Das will lead the side. He becomes the seventh T20I captain for Bangladesh and the 18th overall in all formats.
